Score Supervisor, Music Contractor
Multi faceted and multi talented studio musician, Ross deRoche lists an impressive 25 years worth of credits, reading more like a list of "been there and done that", than a resume. Besides his considerable chops as a bass trombonist doubling on tuba, Ross can attribute his expertise as a music copyist/supervisor and contractor/coordinator to virtually dozens of motion pictures and television shows.
Notable and recognizable titles to his credits are long running and award winning television series, "St. Elsewhere", and mini series, "Lonesome Dove". Of recent note, Ross' company, deRoche Music, Inc. was responsible for all the music services and coordination done on the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 1996 Atlanta and 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic Games. Baseball fans were recently thrilled by the "30 Memorable Events Tribute" presented during the Pre-Game festivities of the 2002 All Star Game, produced by Don Mischer Productions. Once again, made possible and mostly supervised by Mr. deRoche.
The imposing list of motion pictures to his credit in the same capacity include “The Day After Tomorrow”, “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”, “Just Like Heaven”, the epic Civil War drama "Gods and Generals", the comedy of " Wedding Crashers", the coming of age film, "A Walk To Remember", and the most recent Nancy Myers film, "Something’s Gotta Give".
